First weekend of December at the Hermannhof Festhalle and Hofgarten

The St. Charles Corps of Discovery begins its annual Christmas celebration with a Friday night dinner and dance at the Festhalle (tickets required). On Saturday and Sunday, reenactors stage a winter encampment at the Hofgarten with hands-on activities. For information call 573-486-3276.

This once-a-year special German Bakery features traditional holiday baked items. Stollen, Lebkuchen, Schnitzbrot, Mondelschnitz, Pfeffernuesse, beautiful Springerle cookies. Enjoy music and mulled cider. Tours of the newly renovated museum rooms are $5 for adults, $3 for students, free for children 5 and under. Free admission to bakery and gift shop. Holiday Rectory Tour
Second weekend of December • Noon to 8:00 p.m.

The historic rectory building sparkles with candles, music, traditional art and decor and dozens of Christmas trees. Free will offering.
