DIETZEL TINSMITH EQUIPMENT RETURNS TO HERMANN [pdf]
It is a rare opportunity when items of local historical significance are returned to a community after being gone for over a decade.
In 1999, the entire contents of the A.W. Dietzel Tin Smith Shop on 4th Street in Hermann were sold at public auction to the highest bidder. Almost three dozen pieces of tin smith equipment, along with the old work bench, were sold to the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal.
