Missouri River 340  POSTPONED

Re-scheduled for August 24-27  due to high water. Annual Missouri River 340, the world's longest non-stop canoe/kayak race. Checkpoint on Hermann Riverfront from noon Tuesday til noon Thursday. Stop by anytime; race goes from Kansas City to St. Charles.

Wine & Music Wednesday at the Bank Bar

Blend performs at the Showboat

July 30, 7 p.m. Performance by Blend, an A capella quartet, featuring music from the 50s and 60s. Tickets on sale at Hermann Welcome Center. Call 1-800-932-8687.

City Band Concert

August 1, 7:30 p.m., Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheater. Hermann City Band holds final concert of the season. No admission charge; lawn chair seating.

Movie Night Series--The Muppet Movie

August 2 at the Amphitheater. Enjoy alltime classic THE MUPPET MOVIE. Gates open at 7 p.m. with old time kids games led by John Wilding. Show begins at dark. Admission is $2 per person. Sponsored by Hermann Area Chamber of Commerce.

St. George Swing Dance Dinner & Auction

August 7, 5:30-11 p.m. at Hermannhof Festhalle. Annual benefit for St George School. For information call Bernice at 573-486-2723.

August 14. Have a rompin’ stompin’ good time for fun and charity. Registration at 11 a.m. Stomping begins at 1 p.m. Live music by the Boney Goat Band.

August 19. Kansas City Barbeque Society judges school for BBQ & Brats Festival judges. 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the City Hall.

August 21. Special VIP wine tour and tasting at Stone Hill Winery.

River City Cruisers Car Show In the Park

September 12, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. in Hermann City Park. Annual event, featuring several hundred cars of all types.  Free admission.

2nd Annual Country Fair

September 11-12, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Hermann Farm and Museum on Gutenberg. Tractors, rural folk skills, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, old fashioned dolls, lace maker, folk art painting, and more. Fun for the entire family.

October 9-10, Arts and Crafts Festival at Hermann Middle School. Saturday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Exhibition and sale of handcrafted items of many kinds. $1 donation.

St. George Holiday Rectory Tour

December 11-12, noon - 8 p.m. Father Bill Debo and members of St. George Catholic Church provide an incredible display of themed decorations in the historic Rectory on 4th Street to celebrate Christmas. One of Hermann's newest Holiday traditions. Donations to Hermann Ministerial Alliance.
